These terms apply when you buy, receive or use a Dushi Value Card. By completing a purchase or using a card you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. About the Dushi Value Card
The Dushi Value Card is a digital stored-value gift card operated by Dushi Value Card, Oranjestad, Aruba. It holds a prepaid balance in US dollars that can be spent at participating businesses in Aruba (“partners”).
The card is not a credit card, debit card, bank account or deposit. It does not earn interest and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it.
2. Buying a card
You can buy a card for any amount between $10 and $2,500 (USD), for yourself or as a gift. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
Payments are processed by CXPay or PayPal on their own secure pages. We never receive or store your full card or PayPal details.
A card is issued only after the payment provider confirms the payment to us directly. Returning to our website after checkout does not by itself mean that the payment succeeded. If the payment is declined, cancelled or not confirmed, no card is issued.
We may decline or cancel an order if we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If an order is cancelled after payment, the payment is refunded to the original payment method.
3. Delivery by email
The card is sent by email, either straight after the payment is confirmed or at a date and time you choose, up to 90 days ahead (Aruba time). For gifts, the card goes to the recipient and the receipt goes to you.
Please check the email addresses carefully. We are not responsible for a card sent to an address you entered incorrectly, but contact us at dushisetup@gmail.com and we will help where we can.
A personal gift message can be up to 500 characters. Do not include anything offensive, unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights; we may remove such messages.
4. Validity and expiry
Each card is valid for 12 months from the date the payment is confirmed. The expiry date is shown in the card email and on the balance page.
Any balance left after the expiry date can no longer be used and is not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
5. Using the card
Show the QR code from the card email, or give the card code, before paying at a participating partner. Staff check the balance and deduct the amount of your purchase once you agree to it.
You can use the card over several visits until the balance is used up. If a purchase costs more than the balance, pay the difference with another payment method the partner accepts.
Partners are independent businesses. They are responsible for their own products, services, prices, opening hours and availability. The list of participating partners may change over time.
6. Keep your card safe
Treat the card code and QR code like cash: anyone who has them can spend the balance. Do not share them publicly.
If you think someone else has your card details, contact us immediately at dushisetup@gmail.com. We can block the remaining balance once we have verified the card belongs to you, but we cannot restore value already spent.
7. Refunds
A card is final once it has been issued, except where the law gives you a right to cancel or a refund.
If you were charged but no card was issued, or a card was issued by mistake, contact us with your order number and we will put it right.
Purchases made with the card at a partner are between you and the partner. Questions about a meal, stay or service should go to the partner first.
8. Checking your balance
You can check the balance and expiry date at any time on our website with the card code. For security, the number of balance checks is limited.
9. Our responsibility
We take reasonable care to keep the service available and the balances accurate. The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability in connection with a card is limited to the amount paid for that card.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page applies from the date above. Changes will not reduce the balance or validity of a card already issued.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Aruba. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Aruba, unless the law provides otherwise.
